MARY POPPIN was founded in 1964 by Mrs Katerina Varvarigou and was primarily located in kehagia str in the Suburb of Filothei. After that it moved to Kodrou str in Filothei where it is located up until now.

After all these years, the founder Katerina Varvarigou, remains closely and completely dedicated to children, embracing them with her love and tenderness.

Many years of experience, inspiration for the new generation

It is Mrs. Katerina Varvarigou’s extensive experience in the service of preschool age that lead and inspired her daughter Mrs. Elina Varvarigou, who holds a degree in French Literature from the university of Dijon, to work in Mary Poppins ever since 1990. In 2012, she undertook the management of the school and remains the principal of the school up until now.

Experienced teaching staff

The educational staff of the school which is comprised of experienced and highly qualified Greek and foreign teachers who strive with passion and patience to inspire their student to ethically and spiritually thrive.

Cooperation between teachers and parents

At “MARY POPPINS” all these years we believe in good cooperation between teacher and parent.

A good cooperation between the teachers and parents can be achieved through meetings where we can discuss all the matters that might affect the child’s progress during the school year.

On the one hand, through this cooperation we are able to determine possible points of weaknesses so that we can try to handle issues in the most appropriate way. On the other hand, we are able to notice abilities and skills which we try to reveal by encouraging and embracing them.

Teamwork and Individuality

At Mary Poppins, we consider every child as a member of team as well as a specific individual. Thus our educational programs are designed in a way so that the children release their energy through expression and creativity.

This is how we have been able to receive the best possible results throughout all these years.

Finally, we pay special attention all these years whilst designing our educational programs so that teamwork and individuality coexist, whereby in small classes, a child is not only given the opportunity to work in a group, but also the chance to be treated with the uniqueness they deserve.

Πολυετής εμπειρία έμπνευση για την νέα γενιά

Η εμπειρία όλων αυτών των ετών και το μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον για την προσχολική εκπαίδευση καθοδηγούν και εμπνέουν την δεύτερη γενιά του «ΜΑΙΡΗ ΠΟΠΠΙΝΣ» την Ελίνα Βαρβαρήγου, απόφοιτο Γαλλικής Φιλολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου της Dijon και τον Πάνο Βαρβαρήγο, με σπουδές στην Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων και κάτοχο μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στα Οικονομικά Επιχειρήσεων, όπου έχουν αναλάβει την διεύθυνση του σχολείου από το 2009 μέχρι και σήμερα.

Η πολυετής αυτή εμπειρία εμπνέει και καθοδηγεί το προσωπικό του σχολείου που αποτελείται από έμπειρες Ελληνίδες και Ξένες παιδαγωγούς απόφοιτες Πανεπιστημίων της Ελλάδος και του εξωτερικού, όπου με ιδιαίτερη υπομονή και επιμονή, καθώς και με πλήρη επίγνωση της υψηλής αποστολής τους στοχεύουν καθημερινά στην απαραίτητη ηθική και πνευματική καλλιέργεια των παιδιών.

Για την καλύτερη όμως επίτευξη των στόχων του σχολείου απαραίτητη είναι η καλή συνεργασία μεταξύ Εκπαιδευτικού και γονέα η οποία επιτυγχάνεται με συχνή ενημέρωση και συζήτηση για όλα τα θέματα που τυχόν μπορεί να προκύψουν κατά την διάρκεια της σχολικής χρονιάς.

Μέσα από τη συνεργασία αυτή εντοπίζουμε αδυναμίες τις οποίες προσπαθούμε από κοινού να διαχειριστούμε με το πιο σωστό και παιδαγωγικό τρόπο, αλλά και δυνατότητες και δεξιότητες του παιδιού, τις οποίες ενθαρρύνουμε και αναδεικνύουμε. Έτσι όλα αυτά τα χρόνια επιτυγχάνουμε το καλύτερο δυνατό αποτέλεσμα.
